Beta. This tool is in testing. The range it gives is a reference, not a quote: every estimate is checked by our team before it is final, and the final number comes after we look at the house.

What will it cost to paint the outside of your house?

Last updated · Atrium Construction, Boca Raton, Florida

Type your address, confirm your roof on the aerial map, and this tool measures your wall area the way an Atrium estimate does — perimeter times wall height, from the building outline — and prices it under the current promotion: your first 2,500 square feet: $1,800 of wall labor, every square foot after that: 75 cents, plus Sherwin-Williams materials by the gallon. You get a range from that figure to 20% above it, the paint it will take, and how the number was built. It is in beta; our team verifies every estimate before it is final.

Nobody knows their wall square footage. Show us the roof — the tool does the rest.

Suggestions come from Palm Beach County's address records. Elsewhere in South Florida, type the full address with city and ZIP and press Find.

The yellow pin is where your address resolved — on some streets it sits on the road, not the house. Every building around it is outlined; tap the one that is yours. Drag a corner to fix the outline, double-tap a wall to add a corner.

How many stories is your house?

This one we have to ask — no public dataset gets it right, and it changes the wall area by about a third.

What does the job include?

This sets the scope, so your number is honest rather than a teaser.

Estimated paint:

Beta — a reference, not a quote. Our team checks every estimate before it is final, and the final figure comes after we look at the house. Stucco damage past ½ inch, and anything on the "quoted separately" list, is not in this number.

  • Stucco repair up to ½ inch
  • Masonry primer on all walls

Every line is a range: the calculator's figure and 20% above it. Measured from your roof outline, not a per-room guess — a full estimate replaces this with a site walk, which is where the range closes to one number. Warranty on the work: 1 year on labor, 7 years on material.

      How it works

Why this number is worth something — and what it is not

Most online painting calculators multiply your living area by a flat rate. That is not how an exterior repaint is priced, and it is why those numbers move so much once an estimator shows up.

        We measure wall, not floor

Two 2,400 ft² houses can differ by a quarter in wall area depending on stories, ceiling height and how many corners the footprint has. The tool pulls your roof outline from open building data, subtracts the eave overhang, and measures the wall perimeter underneath.

        Priced under the promotion

Labor is your first 2,500 square feet: $1,800 of wall and every square foot after that: 75 cents. Materials — Sherwin-Williams Loxon primer and SuperPaint, two coats — are added by the gallon at the prices on an Atrium proposal. The range runs from that figure to 20% above it, which is the spread the tool has shown against real estimates in testing.

        What it cannot see

The roof cannot see a screened atrium, an interior courtyard or the walls behind a deep entry porch, and it cannot see stucco damage. Those houses, and any damage past ½ inch, get a visit. Soffit, fascia, patio ceilings, pool cages, driveways and metal doors are quoted separately — stated here, not sprung on you later.
